I really pushed the limits of how long I could stretch my classical playing, and was pleasantly surprised at my stamina! I think I played for around 2 hours, and a lot of it was improvised on the fly, and without a backing track. I actually had a short conversation with one of the guests at the dinner, in the midst of playing an Indian Classical Raag, and still managed to keep playing without loosing my place in the rhythmic cycle, which made me really happy!
This was the first time I’ve done ‘background music’, and it was quite an interesting experience. I used In Ear Monitors for the first time, and it made a big difference to be able to hear myself over the chatter of the crowd, so I’ll definitely be using IEMs more often in the future.
Met Karisha and her band, The FunKaars, and I was so impressed by their performance and arrangements.
Saw Swastik Dance really engage the crowd with their performances
Heard from the Cowra Youth Ambassadors, and was very impressed by their confidence at such a young age!

I enjoyed playing this event the most out of all the different sets in Cowra, as the audience was really engaged.
The opening set by Karisha and The FunKaars was so great to hear.
Saw some great performances from Swastik Dance and also some of the local talent, like the performers from Cowra Ballet School.
Performed quite a varied set, which I think was well-received by the huge crowd in attendance
