Ravi’s sitar playing reflects a mix of his Guyanese heritage, Indian roots, and Australian upbringing. Growing up around a blend of cultures, he developed an appreciation for the rhythms, sounds, and stories that shaped his family’s background.
He’s been playing sitar for the past five years, and he’s especially interested in using the instrument outside of traditional contexts — experimenting with contemporary genres and seeing how the sitar can evolve in new musical spaces.
